I love to learn.
I need to learn.
I love to read.
I need to read.
This blog has been a lot of things. It’s been a mix of DIY posts, recipes, travel and my attempt at a story or two. But it’s time to focus and I’m going to focus it on the thing I love: books…and beer.
Like so many in the WordPress world, I’ve loved reading and writing since I was a small child. I was raised as an only child and moved during puberty, lost all my friends, and watched my parents slowly disintegrate, so I buried myself in books, my own made-up stories, imaginary friends and an old black, heavy-as-hell typewriter.
My love of beer slowly came about because my husband forced me to try different beers. I honestly hated them all at first, but as I kept trying them, started to understand more about them, and opened my mind and taste buds up, I started enjoying different beers. I’m no Cicerone, but I can tell what style of beer I’m drinking without anyone telling me what it is, and I can pick out flavor profiles accurately. I’ve had friends ask me how I know so much about beer and the different style, and it really all is about just giving them all a try. Learning about what makes a style, slowly savoring it, concentrating on the flavors rolling around over my tongue. There’s so much love of a craft beer, and I love being able to partake in the hard work of so many amazing brewers.
This comes from the horse’s mouth, but I’d say I’m well-read, thoughtful, and people tend to think that what I say is valid. I know how hard it is to get your name out there, even with our seemingly endless supply of media outlets, so if your book is awesome, I’ll do what I can to help you get it out there. Hope this helps.
